module 2: the seventies

In this module, we cover key moments of Black resistance in 1970s Britain. From the Mangrove Nine trial, police corruption cases like the Oval Four and Stockwell Six, to the rise of radical collectives such as the Black Liberation Front, Race Today, and OWAAD. These events and movements exposed systemic racism, challenged injustice, and reshaped the political and cultural landscape for Black communities in the UK.
